Pedregalejo is characterized to house some of the summer residences of the bourgeoisie malagueña of century XIX and principles of century XX. Its main street, Juan Sebastián Elcano, old Malaga street, leads to El Palo, crossing the Galanes Valley neighborhood and is flanked by rows of trees, banana trees (and casuarinas) such as those found on El Paseo del Parque, in The center of the Malaga capital. In the neighborhood, there are predominant houses, the academies of Spanish for foreigners, the residences, hostels and bars that overlook the small promenade, which is full of life, mainly by foreigners who visit the city.
